A top AEW name has confirmed working with Dark Side of the Ring for an upcoming Junkyard Dog episode.
AEW commentator Jim Ross has worked with Vice’s Dark Side of the Ring series for a variety of episodes including Season 3’s Plane Ride From Hell episode.
Following the controversy of that episode, Ross expressed doubt in working on the series moving forward.
Speaking on the latest Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross revealed that he’s working with Dark Side of the Ring on an episode centered on Junkyard Dog.
He said:
“I’m going to do something with Evan (Husney) and those Dark Side guys on the Dog, talking about JYD. Of all the people living, through that entire era, I might have a unique outlook on it.”
“We’re going to record that in the next few days, talk about Dog’s career, what he meant to that company, that territory, and that part of the country. I’m glad to be doing that with those guys, tell the story about the Junkyard Dog,”
Junkyard Dog was a top star in Mid South Wrestling during the early 1980s before joining WWE and becoming a mid card star. JYD eventually returned to the National Wrestling Alliance in 1988.
As previously reported, Jim Ross shared his thoughts on his new role with All Elite Wrestling during a recent episode of his podcast.
It is still unknown when Season 4 of Dark Side of the Ring will premiere, but the producers are also behind the newest VICE series, “Tales From The Territories”.
