The 2023 WWE Draft is set to get underway on tomorrow night’s (April 28) episode of SmackDown, and there is a lot of speculation about which stars from NXT could be receiving a call up.
It was reported following their Trunk match and seeming write-off at the end of NXT Spring Breakin’ that Elton Prince and Kit Wilson of Pretty Deadly are scheduled to be backstage at tomorrow night’s show in Corpus Christi.
Well it turns out that Pretty Deadly may not be the only former NXT Champions backstage at the show.
Per PWInsider Elite (via Wrestling Inc.), former NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Cora Jade are both set to be at tomorrow night’s SmackDown show as well.
There has not yet been word on whether either will be a part of the WWE Draft, or if they are simply scheduled for dark matches prior to the show.
Cora Jade took part in a match against Nikki Cross on Main Event this week prior to Raw, which reportedly impressed some within WWE management.
Cora’s performance in her Main Event match has led to speculation that she could be on her way up to Raw or SmackDown, with some in WWE believing that she was ‘in the race’ for a call up.
While Breakker at one point seemed to be the most likely call up, his recent heel turn and continuation of his feud with Carmelo Hayes seemingly point to him remaining a part of NXT for a little while longer.
