UPDATE – This article is updated for night two of the WWE Draft on the May 1 episode of Raw.
The NXT draft picks made on night one were Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn to SmackDown, Indi Hartwell to Raw, Apollo Crews to Raw, Zoey Stark to Raw, JD McDonagh to Raw, and Von Wagner as a free agent so he can appear on both Raw and SmackDown.
Here’s a summary of all the potential NXT call-ups that could be made during the imminent 2023 edition of the WWE Draft.
The draft will take place on the April 28 SmackDown and the May 1 Raw, and WWE has made it very clear that NXT talents are eligible to be drafted.
There are obviously some more likely than others, and even some that have been leaked, so here’s a summary of what to expect.
For anyone not included in this list, it doesn’t mean a call-up is impossible (as seen on night one), it just means it would be a surprise as their names haven’t been leaked and there have been no explicit signs to suggest it would be on the cards.
Let’s get started with…
Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson)
UPDATE – PWInsider reports that Pretty Deadly were at the April 28 episode of SmackDown (night one of the draft).
The Pretty Deadly tag team of Elton Prince and Kit Wilson are scheduled to be at the SmackDown episode of the WWE Draft according to PWInsider, which is as big of a sign as anything that a call-up will be happening.
They’ve been talked about for a call-up for a while now, and they even had a couple of matches at main roster house shows a few months ago.
They also worked a storyline with main roster veterans New Day on TV.
PWInsider specifically reported that Pretty Deadly were being earmarked for the Raw brand.
They were left to “swim with the fishes” by Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo at the end of NXT Spring Breakin’, so it looks like that was them being written off NXT TV to make way for their imminent main roster launch.
It would be a shock if this doesn’t happen, and not at all a surprise if it does.
