Top WWE Star Thanks Fans Following Major Anniversary WWE

Many WWE stars have celebrated major anniversaries over the past year, with last year marking 20 years of John Cena, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, Batista and Rey Mysterio in WWE.

Another star from that era is celebrating a major milestone this month, with WWE celebrating 25 years of Edge in honor of his WWE debut on June 22, 1998.

With today officially marking the anniversary of Edge’s now-infamous debut match with Jose Estrada, he took to Twitter to thank the fans for their support over the past 25 years.

He said:

25 years ago today was my first match as Edge on television. Millions of miles, millions of faces, amazing experiences, lots of injuries, accomplishments that didn’t even exist when I started, but way more laughs than anything else.

Having a second chance to do this has filled me with gratitude. I’ve had an opportunity to get in the ring with a whole new generation of amazing talent and introduce Edge to a whole new generation of fans. That alone makes it a win. I’ve been able to make a living doing the only job I ever dreamed of. I know how rare that is. Thanks for watching Edge all these years.

Edge has not appeared on WWE television since he lost to AJ Styles in the first round of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament on SmackDown last month.
