Two AEW Stars Mentioned During WWE Raw WWE/AEW

WWE commentator Michael Cole made mention of two AEW stars as well as Owen Hart on tonight’s episode of Raw.

On tonight’s WWE Raw, more signs that a bygone era of neglecting to mention history involving those who left the company continues to erode.

When officially announcing the upcoming match between Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso at WrestleMania 40, there was specific mention of two big past Mania matches.

Cole noted that Uso vs. Uso would be the third time in the history of WrestleMania that there has been a brother versus brother match.

The first was Bret Hart taking on Owen Hart at WrestleMania 10.

Also referenced were two AEW stars in Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy who went head to head at WrestleMania 25.

In the eventual in-ring segment between Jey and Jimmy Uso, there was an exchange of words before fisticuffs ensued.

While Jey threw the first punch and would end up also getting in a shot on Solo Sikoa, eventually Jimmy and Solo Sikoa double teamed the Raw star.

After the crowd started chanting for ‘Cody!’ the American Nightmare did emerge and make the run-in save, scaring off the Bloodline.

In a later backstage segment, Paul Heyman assured Raw GM Adam Pearce that both Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa had left the building and ‘after he completed his business’ he would depart as well.
