WWE 205 Live has been nothing short of superb recently, but it looks as if it will be losing two its top stars; for the time being at least.
WWE released the following statement on its website earlier today, regarding a blow to Lince Dorado:
“WWE.com has learned that cruiserweight Lince Dorado has suffered a ruptured thumb ligament and will have to wear a small cast.
Check back with WWE.com for more details as they become available.
Dorado, while not a standout in the cruiserweight division, has put in consistently good performances recently as part of the Lucha House Party along with Gran Metalik and Kalisto.
The ‘Golden Lynx’ made his WWE debut in 2016’s Cruiserweight Classic tournament, where he defeated Mustafa Ali in the first round, before losing out to Rich Swann in the second.
The highlight of Dorado’s WWE tenure was his appearance on the WWE Royal Rumble 2018 KickOff Show, in which he, Metalik and Kalisto defeated Drew Gulak, TJP and Jack Gallagher in a six-man tag team match.
The second man who seems to have suffered a blow is Mustafa Ali.
He tweeted the following yesterday:
Fear not, I always kick out at 2. pic.twitter.com/vIGjX8P2Xp
— Mustafa Ali / Adeel Alam (@AliWWE) July 30, 2018
Ali, much like Dorado, made his WWE debut in the CWC, albeit as a last-minute backup addition.
The ‘Heart of 205 Live‘ shone throughout the WWE Cruiserweight Championship tournament earlier this year, making it to the final at WrestleMania 34, losing out to current champion Cedric Alexander.
It is unknown currently how long both men will be out of action for, but be sure to stay connected with WrestleTalk for updates as they become available.
