A new update has been provided regarding some NXT callups that were made several months ago but we haven’t actually seen on TV yet.
WrestleTalk.com was first to report Chelsea Green’s callup several months ago. Fightful Select has confirmed that Green was indeed called up as far back as May.
However, the report notes that with Paul Heyman being removed from his position as the Raw executive director, plans to bring Green onto the roster were put on hold and that’s why we’ve not seen her on TV since.
Another member of the NXT women’s division who is in the same situation after being called up earlier in the year is Vanessa Borne. WWE’s creative just hasn’t provided any openings for them to be on TV.
After seeing how some of the most recent NXT callups have been treated since their moves to the main roster (Keith Lee, RETRIBUTION, etc.), perhaps it’s a bit of a blessing in disguise that Green and Borne haven’t been brought in quite yet.
WrestleTalk.com will keep you updated with any further updates on the two pending callups and any others that we could see happening in the future.
