A new report has provided an update on a retired star wrestling on the AEW All In London card.
Recently, Fightful Select reported that Nigel McGuinness had taken steps to make his in-ring return ahead of this Sunday’s AEW All In London show from Wembley Stadium, which you can read at this link.
Despite his best efforts, it seems like the former ROH World Champion will not be wrestling on the historic event.
During the AEW All In media junket, Nigel McGuinness spoke with WrestleTalk’s Tempest on behalf of Fightful and revealed that he would not be wrestling at All In.
McGuinness went on to specifically cite Bryan Danielson being injured as something that kept him from wrestling on the landmark show. Danielson suffered a broken arm during his AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door main event match with Kazuchika Okada.
Nigel McGuinness also mentioned that he feels he is better as a commentator. He will be on the call for this Saturday’s August 26 episode of AEW Collision.
