Update On The Young Bucks WWE Feelers Rumor

Update On The Young Bucks WWE Feelers Rumor AEW

There is a new update on the rumor of The Young Bucks sending feelers out to WWE.

On the F4WOnline Message Board, Ryan Frederick of the Wrestling Observer pointed out that the Young Bucks had their options picked up last year, correcting a fan who claimed they recently signed new contracts with the company.

He then noted that Matt and Nick Jackson had potentially sent out feelers to WWE about a possible jump to the promotion.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update on the rumor, noting that one source indicated that they’ve been sworn that the Bucks asked to speak to someone in management, which they’ve been unable to confirm.

The rumor has been persistent within WWE for several weeks now, dating back to August.

Sources close to the Young Bucks say that they haven’t been given that indication whatsoever. That person would likely be in a good position to relay that information, but they aren’t even sure who the Young Bucks would even reach out in that regard.

Another source that has long worked with higher ups confirmed they’d heard the rumor, but hadn’t asked people of influence within WWE because they weren’t sure how that would be received.

That person believes that the Bucks wouldn’t even need to gauge interest about coming into the company, and would likely be taking the temperature on other situations related to possible free agency.

It should be noted that Fightful heard people who worked in WWE talent relations had outright reached out to AEW talent last month.

Also, WWE had a great deal of interest in Matt and Nick Jackson in 2018 when they were free agents and the sources were quick to remind everyone that they nearly signed with the company before helping start All Elite Wrestling.

We will have further updates on The Young Bucks’ status with AEW and WWE when they become available.
