There has been an update on a potential match between Roman Reigns and CM Punk following Punk’s WWE return at Survivor Series.
CM Punk made his return to WWE after almost 10 years away at the climax of this year’s Survivor Series event in Chicago.
Punk’s return came after his termination from AEW back on September 2, which led to some speculation that WWE might not want to bring him in.
Roman Reigns has previously spoken about his issues with Punk, but has always said he would be open to working with him should he return to the company.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Roman’s cousin Jey Uso discussed a potential match between Reigns and Punk, noting that Roman is ‘ready to put anybody down.
He said:
“Hell yeah, the Tribal Chief is ready to put anybody and everybody down, man.
“CM Punk might find out just like the rest did. It’s different when you get in there with the Tribal Chief.”
Jey Uso spoke about which brand Punk will end up signing with following his WWE return, asking why Raw wouldn’t want to sign him.
Seth Rollins also has real life issues with Punk, and he discussed the issues as well as potentially working with him, which you can see here.
Jey unsuccessfully challenged for the World Heavyweight Championship on this week’s Raw show.
