An update has emerged on Ronda Rousey’s relationships with backstage names ahead of her exit from WWE, including Vince McMahon.
Rousey’s final WWE match took place at SummerSlam 2023, with the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion losing to Shayna Baszler in what was called MMA Rules match.
Ronda Rousey has now blasted WWE in a recent interview, revealing her issues with the likes of John Laurinaitis, Bruce Prichard and Vince McMahon.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a source close to Rousey confirmed that by the end of her WWE run, Rousey “despised” Vince McMahon.
Noting that she was said to be “friendly” with Stephanie McMahon, and had “positive things to say” about Triple H (Paul Levesque), Meltzer wrote:
“Another person close to the situation noted that Rousey felt that WWE was a misogynistic culture and by the time she left, despised Vince but remained friendly with Stephanie and had positive things to say about Paul Levesque.
“It was also noted that while she despised Vince, ‘she, to this day, loves Dana White.'”
Triple H has overseen WWE Creative since becoming the company’s Chief Content Officer in July 2022, although there were times Vince McMahon was still involved as he was still with the company, which is no longer the case.
