There are a few milestones that pro wrestlers covet, such as headlining a show, winning a championship and maybe even getting your own action figure.
The TNT Champion Wardlow has shared a heartwarming video holding the latest action figure to be made in his likeness as part of AEW’s Unmatched wrestling action figure series.
In the video, which you can view in full right here, Wardlow is seen gushing over how far he has come professionally while holding the figure in his hands.
Despite being TNT Champion, Wardlow described the toy as being the “coolest accomplishment ever,” saying he scatters the figures around his home to remind him of where he came from, where he is headed, and that he ‘made it.’
MJF’s former bodyguard said having his own figurine is still something that hasn’t quite sunk in for him, mainly because of his humble beginnings which meant toys were a rare treat in his childhood.
Wardlow described being consumed during a baseball game by the thought of being able to go to the store with his Mom afterwards to purchase a Hulk Hogan and Goldberg figurine double pack he had his eye on.
The set was out of stock on this occasion, but Wardlow’s inner child evidently lights up at the thought of having his own action figure on the shelves.
Wardlow is not the only AEW name with a passion for figurines.
“All Ego” Ethan Page runs a Toy Hunt vlog on YouTube that sees him scour the shelves of various toy and collectable stores along with his AEW colleagues.
Danhausen, Nyla Rose and The Bunny have all made recent appearances on the vlog that sees them expanding their own collections.
Wardlow defeated Scorpion Sky in a street fight to become the TNT Champion during the July 6, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite.
