Wardlow has revealed how much it meant to him to be apart of the Wednesday Night War between AEW and WWE NXT.
Appearing on the Wrestling Inc. Daily, Mr. Mayhem reflected on being a fan of the Monday Night Wars and being apart of something similar years later.
Wardlow stated:
“It hit me so big at the time. When I grew up it was peak wrestling, it was the Monday Night Wars. What a time to be alive. What a time to be a fan. So to finally be in the business that I scratched and clawed for so long and it just happened to time up to where I am a part of a new age Wednesday Night War, it just – Manifestation is very real. How life works is mindblowing.”
AEW came out of the Wednesday Night War as the victor with WWE moving NXT to Tuesday nights in April 2021.
As previously mentioned, Wardlow also gave his thoughts on NXT stars coming to AEW and how he has some powerbombs ready for them.
