Wardlow has revealed the main goal for his AEW TNT Championship reign.
At AEW Revolution, Wardlow defeated Samoa Joe to regain the TNT Championship. This marked his second reign with the title after losing the gold back at Full Gear 2022.
With his feud with Joe finally settled, the two-time TNT Champion is focused on the future and what he would like to do in his second reign.
During AEW’s post-Revolution media scrum, Wardlow revealed his main goal for the TNT Championship. He said:
“I would like to do the TNT Open Challenge. Because I want them all. I want our whole roster, I want people from other rosters. When I say I’m the best, I mean it. I’m looking to prove it.”
The AEW star noted that he would be speaking to Tony Khan to gain permission to bring back the TNT Open Challenge. The concept was originally introduced by inaugural TNT Champion Cody Rhodes and then would be used by Darby Allin during his two reigns as champion.
Wardlow will defend the TNT Championship against Powerhouse Hobbs on the March 8 edition of AEW Dynamite from Sacramento, California.
