WWE Star Breaks Character After Surprise Fan Reaction

He may be the “bad guy” on WWE television, but that doesn’t mean AJ Styles can’t appreciate the fan reaction to his appearance.

With April 5 seeing AJ Styles facing Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship, the Phenomenal One would have probably expected to be on the receiving end of jeers.

That wasn’t the case at the LDLC Arena in Décines-Charpieu, Lyon, France, as they chanted for the SmackDown star in enthusiastic fashion.

Styles has reacted to the cheers from the fans on social media, tweeting:

“Wasn’t sure if I should say anything, being a bad guy and all but…Lyon, France.

“IL EST VRAIMENT, IL EST VRAIMENT, Il EST VRAIMENT PHÉNOMÉNAL LALALALA”

Il Est Vraiment Phénoménal is a 1997 tune by the Franco-Belgian group Phenomenal Club and continues to be a popular track to this day.

Styles has been confirmed to be part of the King of the Ring tournament, where he will take on Randy Orton in the first round.
