Credibility with the mainstream is one thing that pro wrestling has lacked in its history.
The sport has been an island to itself at times, its performers not afforded the same recognition as other athletes from, say, football or baseball.
By association, the announcers of pro wrestling have endured similar treatment since they regarded as covering a predetermined opera rather than a pure athletic contest.
But we might be seeing changes in attitude toward some aspects of professional wrestling, and one area, in particular, is commentary.
As reported by WrestlingInc, 205 Live announcer Vic Joseph will be covering the NBA Finals, taking place now between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors. Joseph will cover on ESPN and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. He will be in attendance for games 3 and 4 which are set to be held in Cleveland.
Joseph, who is from the Cleveland area, also covered the NFL draft earlier this year and the Cavaliers 2016 championship season.
