NXT Star Doesn’t Want Mandy Rose To ‘Throw Away’ WWE Achievements By Falling Into ‘Very Dangerous World’ WWE

A current NXT name has addressed Mandy Rose’s WWE release in new comments. Find out who has shared their thoughts!

WWE Hall of Famer and current NXT commentator Booker T has commented on WWE releasing Mandy Rose.

Booker T described his thoughts on the unfortunate situation on his podcast saying:

“Mandy Rose has the right to put her body or her image out there any way she wants, but this is a young lady who has talent. She has so much more talent than just beauty and how she looks.

“She’s made a hell of a career for herself in the WWE over these last five years and I would hate to see her throw something like that away and fall into a world that is very, very dangerous to fall into. Let’s just say that.

“I’m wishing for Mandy Rose to make a return someway, somehow, and find her way back to WWE. That’s just me personally.”

Going on to expand on recent chatter that perhaps Rose is headed to another promotion instead, perhaps TNA or AEW, Booker T had a spicy take.

Comparing Rose to another departed WWE star, Booker said:

“I’ve heard people saying, man, maybe she would be great in AEW. She would be great in TNA. So was Jeff Hardy.

“The reason I say that is because I was one of the first ones that said AEW took Jeff Hardy immediately after he was having problems, and then all of a sudden, they wanted to look past that.

“This right here is a problem more than anything. I don’t think someone should just jump in and think about let’s make some money off of Mandy Rose and her sex appeal, let’s put her out there, and use her. I don’t want Mandy Rose to be used by any of these so-called wanna-be promoters.”

Finally, confirming that he absolutely wants the best for Mandy Rose, Booker T gave a heartfelt comment.

Saying:

“If Mandy Rose is out there listening to this, you know I’m pulling for you. You know I got your back. If anybody got your back, you know I got your back. I’m pulling for you and if you hear me saying anything that you need to talk to me about, hey, give me a shout. You know where I’m at. Hit me up.”

On the December 13 edition of NXT, Mandy Rose dropped her NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez. Less than 24 hours later, WWE released Rose from her contract.

WWE has now moved Mandy Rose’s superstar profile to the ‘alumni’ section of WWE.com, confirming her exit from the company.

As previously reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the title change was a rushed decision made by Shawn Michaels as soon as he found out earlier that day about the type of content Mandy Rose had been posting on her exclusive content page.

It’s worth reiterating a misconception – WWE didn’t fire Rose just because of the fact she had a subscription service, but reportedly more so because of the nature of what she was posting on there, which, per Meltzer, the company thought ‘way, way, way crossed the line’.

Fightful Select previously reported that Rose had indicated to people in recent months that she did realize what she was posting could get her in trouble with WWE management.

Fightful has since followed up by adding that Rose was said to be ‘in good spirits’ at Tuesday’s show, as well as immediately after her release.

Rose has not yet publicly commented on her WWE departure.

Rose’s reign with the NXT Women’s Title clocked in at 413 days, so it was just four days off being the second-longest NXT Women’s Title reign of all time behind Asuka’s.

Had the title change taken place on either January 10 or February 4 as originally planned, Rose’s reign would have overtaken Shayna Baszler to hit that second place milestone.
