A highly influential WWE name has recently revealed his surprise that a legendary IMPACT team never got a shot in WWE as a collective.
Speaking on his Something to Wrestle Podcast, Executive Director of WWE’s Creative Writing Team Bruce Prichard would be asked by his co-host Conrad Thompson if he thought Beer Money (James Storm & Bobby Roode) would have found success in WWE together.
Prichard would reply:
“Yeah, I think they could’ve.
“I really do. I think they definitely could’ve. I think that James is another one that (is an) extremely talented guy, (he’s got) the gift to gab, but was either afraid of success or just couldn’t go on to that next thing.
“He really liked where he was in the pecking order.”
While Beer Money wouldn’t appear together, they would compete separately in WWE.
Bobby Roode is still under WWE contract despite a lengthy current spell on the sidelines and has achieved decent success, wining the NXT, United States and both the Raw and Smackdown Tag Team Championships.
As for Storm, his time in the company would be extremely brief, competing in NXT in a pair of matches in late 2015, however he would ultimately return to Impact Wrestling.
