Cody Rhodes will have more time to finish his story as he recently signed a new multi-year deal to stay with WWE.
It was recently reported that WWE wanted to sign Rhodes to a contract extension and it appears that it has already taken place.
Writing about the subject in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated:
While it didn’t go reported at the time, Rhodes agreed to terms for a new multi-year deal back in October.
As we noted, a lot of the talent which still had existing time left on their deals had been offered very long-term new deals at substantial increases in pay in recent months.
Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38 Night 2 in April 2022 and has featured prominently since.
It was previously reported that WWE are looking to re-sign stars with “long term deals with greatly increased compensation” to prevent them entering the free agent market.
WWE have recently signed a number of stars to new deals, including Zelina Vega, Bayley and both Dominik and Rey Mysterio.
