WWE Star Complains To Management For Not Believing They’re A ‘Top Star’ WWE

WWE star Zelina Vega has now responded to SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis’ recent comments about the possibility of her getting a title shot.

On a recent edition of WWE The Bump, Nick Aldis was asked by Vega via a social media post when she’ll next get a championship opportunity.

After questioning why she was speaking in the third person, Aldis acknowledged that Vega is talented, but noted that there’s a lot of competition, and that Vega will have to prove to him that she’s worthy of a title shot.

Vega has now reacted to these comments on Twitter, asking Aldis for the opportunity to earn a title match.

Arguing that Aldis doesn’t believe in her, Vega said:

Weird @ScrapDaddyAP never had any trouble in believing in ZELINA VEGA.. (because ZELINA VEGA is a TOP star..) and look what happened at Backlash.. you don’t see it? lol..

Give me the chance to “earn it the right way” @RealNickAldis or stutter into more excuses. Unbelievable.

Adam Pearce, who currently serves as the general manager for Raw, responded:

Zelina, so many believe in you. Those blinded by the spotlight they shine on themselves have a hard time seeing who has truly earned their day in it.

Vega most recently challenged for the WWE Women’s Championship on the August 25, 2023 edition of SmackDown, losing to IYO SKY.

The Backlash match she referred to saw her unsuccessfully challenge for Rhea Ripley’s SmackDown Women’s Title at the May 2023 Backlash event, with the Puerto Rican crowd heavily supporting Vega in this match.

Vega recently teased a rematch against Rhea Ripley, which you can read more about right here.
