Did WWE’s Triple H & Kevin Dunn Get Along Backstage Revealed WWE

A new report has shed some interesting light on the backstage perception of Kevin Dunn whether he and Triple H got along backstage.

On December 30, 2023 it was first reported that WWE’s tenured Executive Producer & Chief of Global Television Distribution Kevin Dunn was departing the company after over 40 years of service.

Dunn’s departure from the company was reportedly made at his own request, with WWE President Nick Khan later sending out an internal company email confirming Dunn’s departure and thanking him for his contributions over the years.

Despite the nice farewell message, reports had stated that WWE and Dunn’s relationship had “gotten uglier” towards the end of his tenure, with Dunn feeling “disrespected” for being a “Vince McMahon guy”.

Although Dunn stayed in his role until only recently, rumors of his impending departure had been circulating ever since Vince McMahon’s initial ‘retirement’ from WWE in July 2022.

It was noted by Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston that Dunn wasn’t a “Triple H guy”, with reports of The Game’s wife Stephanie McMahon not getting along with Dunn either.

Despite that however, according to a new report from Fightful Select it seems as if Triple H’s relationship with Dunn was actually a good one according to those that worked with him.

The report notes that along with Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard, Dunn actually got along well with Triple H.

In fact according to a WWE source, Dunn was not as difficult to work with as they expected overall.

While he reportedly did “demand the best out of everyone” he also was said to be quite collaborative with backstage segment producers; exchanging ideas with “minimal stepping on toes”.

Not only that but Dunn also reportedly had a particular focus on safety, with an example given regarding Cody Rhodes WrestleMania 38 entrance and Dunn ensuring there was a hold on pyro in order for the camera crew to remain safe from harm.

The report also went into detail regarding Dunn’s involvement in WWE’s production, being described as the “ring leader” of that sector, with an extensive involvement in almost every aspect imaginable from graphics to audio and more; much of which fans wouldn’t ever notice on TV.

He was described as being in attendance at almost every show, but reportedly did take regular holidays, with NXT producers usually filling in in his absence.

While it was initially reported that several people would be fulfilling Dunn’s responsibilities in the wake of his departure, his successor was recently named.
