Former WWE Champion Shares Honest Thoughts On Dominik Mysterio

A former WWE champion has shared their honest thoughts on Dominik Mysterio, having seen the star grow over recent years.

Dominik Mysterio was already familiar to WWE fans, having appeared on television as a child, but his run as an in-ring star wouldn’t kick off until his first match at SummerSlam in 2020.

A current double-champion, also holding the AAA Mega Championship, Dominik Mysterio’s journey was recently explored by Big E.

Appearing at the Super Bowl Radio Row, Big E spoke to Compas On The Beat about Dominik Mysterio being a prime example of growth as a WWE star, saying:

“He is someone… we talk often, on the (WWE) panel, about guys who have really grown, and he is a prime example.

“When he first came on the road… y’know, came up with his dad, you could tell he was green, you could tell he wasn’t quite comfortable.

“But, I think, too many times, it’s an example that we, too often, will throw away talent. We’ll say “he’s not ready”, “he doesn’t have it”, “I don’t know”, “he should go back down to NXT”, “fire him”.

“Give guys an opportunity to grow. Give guys an opportunity to find that footing, cos I needed that time as well.

“He’s someone who’s taken that ball and really run with it. He’s done an incredible job. He’s someone that, when you see him, you believe every word that comes out of his mouth.

“The way he carries himself, his confidence; I can’t speak highly enough of his growth as a talent. He’s done an incredible job and he’s still so young. He’s not even thirty yet.

“He’s just going to get better and better, so shout out to him and all the work he’s done.”

Dominik Mysterio recently returned on WWE Raw following an injury, reuniting with Liv Morgan and Judgment Day.

Big E would also reveal that he has retired as an in-ring star in WWE, following a career-ending neck injury suffered in 2022.
