WWE Files Three Trademarks, Including ‘Butch’

WWE filed to trademark three terms on March 10, including ‘Butch’, the new ring name for Pete Dunne.

Per the USPTO, WWE filed to trademark not only ‘Butch’ but also ‘Lockup’ and ‘Moonsault’ on March 10. March 10 was the day before last week’s SmackDown show, meaning WWE had Butch in the works for at least a day prior.

WWE recently announced a series of NFTs under the name ‘WWE Moonsault’, which is the name filed for on March 10. No word yet on what ‘Lockup’ will be used for, though the description also references NFTs, similar to Moonsault’s description.
