John Cena Reveals Meaningful Match You May Have Forgotten WWE

John Cena has been apart of so many epic WWE moments it would be easy to forget this one that he described as meaning ‘everything’.

In a recent TikTok video, John Cena commented on some of his most epic matches and told a story about WrestleMania 23 and the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels.

Cena said in a TikTok video:

“WrestleMania 23, Ford Field in Detroit. I think the lesson here is don’t lend me your rental car. Driving to endanger but with a championship on my mind as I face off against The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels.

“He is one of the best performers in the ring of all time, an incredible storyteller and you can see everyone standing on their feet in the background that this is a contest that they were into.”

“This was a wonderful chance to work with someone who I idolized and continue to look up to as a professional.

“This is the absolute final moment of the match where both of us are exhausted and somehow I get myself a main event WrestleMania win over Shawn Micheals.

“In that moment, and still to this day, means everything.”

John Cena recently had a foray back to WWE during the SAG-AFTRA strike in Hollywood saw other projects he was booked to be doing halted.

Making a return to WWE, Cena had matches where he teamed with the likes of LA Knight and Seth Rollins to take on the Bloodline and Imperium respectively.

However after the strike was ended, Cena suffered a loss to Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel 2023 and has not since returned to in-ring action.
