A recent WWE live show saw the company make a surprising decision that has been something they reportedly haven’t had to do “in a long time.”

The WWE Sunday Stunner show for October 22 took place in Laredo, Texas at the Sames Auto Arena.

According to an October 15 tweet from WrestleTix, the venue was configured for 5,124 seats.

A follow-up tweet ahead of the October 22 Sunday Stunner revealed that the new configuration was for 3,751 seats with over one thousand tickets being available at the time of the tweet.

WrestleTix would also note that removing “a significant number of seats” is something the “first time WWE has had to do so for a show in a long time.”

It would be stated that “Laredo has always been a challenging market, particularly for non-televised events.”

WWE’s last visit to the venue was in January 2023 where SmackDown drew 7,555, according to WrestleTix.

Fans at the show in Laredo were treated to Grayson Waller’s latest trolling of Taylor Swift fans during his entrance with Austin Theory.
