WWE Main Roster Stars Set To Stay In NXT As ‘Long As They Want’ WWE

A pair of WWE main roster stars have claimed that they will stay in NXT as “long as they want”, following their return to the brand this week (February 20).

Over six months removed from their last televised tag team match, The Good Brothers Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson made a statement on NXT as they laid out two of the brands top teams.

Following a number one contender’s match for The Wolf Dogs’ NXT Tag Team Championships between Axiom & Nathan Frazer and Chase U, The O.C. members threw their name into the hat by making short work of both teams.

With Anderson & Gallows’ lack of consistent TV time on SmackDown, the fans inside the WWE PC were excited to see the two veterans show up, but we didn’t yet know what their future on the NXT brand looked like.

Thankfully, following their appearance, NXT’s Kelly Kincaid caught up with the former Raw Tag Champions, where they seemingly committed their immediate future to NXT and confirmed the goal of pursuing Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker’s NXT Tag Titles.

Beginning with Anderson, The Good Brothers said:

“Yeah, sweet Kelly listen the boys are back in NXT and basically we’re going to stay as long as we want. Tell them big LG.”

Gallows: “I’m absolutely thrilled about it Kelly, I don’t know if Chase U is very thrilled about it, but I was always a terrible student anyways.

Anderson: “Yeah, yeah you know me too although I did enjoy the calendar they put out. Hey big LG, when it comes to the NXT Tag Team Championships we’re gonna separate the men (themselves) from the boys.

Gallows: “That’s exactly right you know Baron Corbin, I didn’t realise you came to NXT to become the worlds largest comedian and Bron Breakker, maybe The Good Brothers can be something that Big Poppa Pump and the Dog Faced Gremlin never could – a couple of heroes.

“But before we do that Kelly we have to crush their dreams and we’re gonna win those NXT Tag Team Titles cause of that same old recipe. It’s a Magic Killer, a 1-2-3 and a just too sweet.”

Elsewhere on NXT two more of the brand’s championships were on the line as NXT North American Champion Oba Femi took on Lexi King and NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria defended against Shotzi.

Sadly however, Shotzi’s defence was short lived as she suffered a serious knee injury shortly into the big main event match.
