WWE Match Delayed Until Next Week

WWE Match Delayed Until Next Week WWE

A WWE match seems to have been delayed until next week as NXT progressed tonight, one previously announced bout disappeared.

Previously announced for tonight’s edition of NXT (August 29) was a match between Dabba-Kato and Tyler Bate.

Rather than seeing the match however, there was a backstage segment featuring Tyler Bate where he spoke on his plans for the Global Heritage Invitational including an upcoming match against Butch before pivoting to Dabba-Kato.

Bate dared Kato to get in the ring with him next week, noting that he was going to be the David to Dabba-Kato’s Goliath.

The match was previously announced for tonight’s show, but WWE had stopped advertising it today and made it official for next week instead.

While not confirmed, it’s possible the Bray Wyatt tribute segment of the show that was added in is what affected the timings for tonight’s show and led to Bate vs Dabba-Kato having to be moved to next week.

On tonight’s episode of NXT, Butch faced off against Charlie Dempsey in the Global Heritage Invitational and it was Butch who picked up the win in Group A.

For their part, Group B saw Joe Coffey pick up the win and the 2 points over Nathan Frazer tonight.

Also on NXT, two stars have been officially re-instated on the WWE roster. You can click here to find out who is back in action!
