Another NXT Star Addresses WWE Main Roster Call-Up Rumors

Former NXT North American Champion has commented on his WWE future, following his recent main roster appearance.

To the delight of many, Trick Williams made a surprise appearance on last week’s (January 27) edition of SmackDown to save Carmelo Hayes from an attack at the hands of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.

With Hayes making a number of appearances for the SmackDown brand recently while remaining a part of the NXT roster, there has been speculation about Trick Williams also becoming a regular name on the main roster show.

Williams was asked about a potential main roster call-up during an interview with Lucha Libre Online.

The popular star responded:

“Aye, the ‘Whoop that Trick’ movement has begun so, we gotta wait and see (if I’ll be on the main roster moving forward).

“You never know… NXT Championship, Dusty Classic on Tuesday. Me and my boy Melo getting to work. We got a lot of good things in store.

Williams & Carmelo Hayes are set to face off against Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde in the semi-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.

The winning team will battle Baron Corbin & Bron Breakker in the tournament finals at NXT Vengeance Day on Sunday (February 4).

An update has emerged on Bron Breakker’s WWE status amid speculation that he’s preparing for his own main roster call-up, which you can read more about right here.
