The replacement commentator for WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2024 has been revealed.
Earlier today (February 4) WWE NXT commentator Booker T made the announcement that he would unfortunately miss the brand’s first Premium Live Event of 2024: NXT Vengeance Day.
Taking to Twitter, Booker announced that he would miss tonight’s PLE as well as the next couple weeks of NXT TV, saying:
I will not be at #NXTVengenceDay tonight and I’ll be off TV the next couple weeks due to a medical procedure I had to have.
But – I’m all good and I’ll be back in action on @WWENXT in no time!
Thank you all for your support, couldn’t do it with out the people. Shucky Ducky!
Now, in a new update we may now know who will be filling in for Booker in his absence – none other than SmackDown’s Wade Barrett.
The news was broken by Fightful’s Corey Brennan, who posted the following to Twitter:
I’ve been told Wade Barrett will be on the call tonight for #NXTVengeanceDay.
Booker T announced earlier today he would be missing the show and several weeks of television.
In a follow-up tweet, Brennan said that it has not yet been confirmed whether this change will also extend to NXT TV, with Barrett filling in for Booker until he is fit enough to return.
Thankfully, Barrett is more than familiar with the NXT commentary booth, having previously sat alongside Vic Joseph for two years between August 2020 and October 2022.

It isn't clear at this time if Wade will be Booker's replacement until Booker returns to TV.
