WWE Star Addresses Potentially Becoming Double Champion

March 5, 2024, sees NXT Roadblock take place at the WWE Performance Center with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the line.

The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) will defend the titles against the team of Lyra Valkyria & Tatum Paxley.

Commenting on the upcoming championship match, Lyra Valkyria posted on Twitter:

“This unlikely little duo with just one tag match behind them… vs the Kabuki Warriors, THE most dominant women’s tag team today

“@TatumPaxley What are we waiting for!?!

Valkyria and Paxley challenged the Kabuki Warriors to the match on the February 27 episode of NXT, as can be seen below.

As Valkyria notes, they’d had a single match as a tag team, defeating Izzi Dame & Kiana James on March 2 2024.

Valkyria holds the NXT Women’s Championship having defeated Becky Lynch at NXT Halloween Havoc Night 1 in October 2023.

Asuka and Sane are also members of Damage CTRL, a group that recently betrayed Bayley on WWE SmackDown.

Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai has also sided with IYO SKY and the Kabuki Warriors.

Elsewhere at NXT Roadblock, Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin defend the NXT Tag Team Championship against Chase University (Andre Chase & Duke Hudson).

Carmelo Hayes will take on Tony D’Angelo to determine the number one contender for Ilja Dragunov’s NXT Championship.

Dijak faces Joe Gacy in an Asylum Match and Shawn Spears will also be in action.
