WWE NXT Star Returns After Lengthy Injury Absence

WWE NXT Star Returns After Lengthy Injury Absence

A WWE NXT star returned during tonight’s episode of the show on the USA Network after a lengthy spell out due to undergoing surgery.

Until tonight, Fandango hadn’t competed on NXT since December after Tommy John surgery, which involves replacing the Ulnar Collateral Ligament in an individual’s elbow with a tendon from elsewhere in the body or from a donor.

It’s a surgery common in baseball pitchers, hence being named after Tommy John, and the recovery time for pitchers usually takes around 18-24 months, so ‘Dango got off pretty light in that regard.

Fandango returned tonight alongside Breeze in a three-way tag match against Undisputed ERA and Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch to determine the #1 contender for Imperium’s NXT Tag Team Championship.

And ‘Dango actually scored the pinfall for his team after Bobby Fish was distracted by Dexter Lumis, allowing for Breeze to nail Fish with a Beauty Shot before Fandango landed the top-rope leg drop.

While they almost certainly won’t beat Imperium, Breezango is a good team to beat to start off their reign, and it’s great to see Fandango back in action.
