After a devastating loss on Sunday at NXT Great American Bash, one star has ‘thrown in the towel’ on tonight’s episode of NXT.

Earlier in a backstage segment, Baron Corbin gave the world’s worst pep talk, telling Thea Hail that her Great American Bash loss was her peak and she should just pack her things and go home.

Professional wrestling just isn’t for everybody claimed the straight shooting Corbin.

After Chase U professor Andre Chase took exception to Corbin talking to his prized pupil that way it led to a match between Chase and Corbin.

During the match however, it was clear that Thea Hail wasn’t feeling like herself as she barely cared about the match and continued to go through the motions visibly downtrodden off the back of Chase literally throwing in the towel during her match at the Bash against Tiffany Stratton.

At one point in the match, Hail threw her Chase U towel into the ring and Baron Corbin grabbed it, throwing it back out of the ring as she caught it and just walked away from ringside sulking, with Duke Hudson following behind.

In the end, this left Andre Chase alone to finish his match with Baron Corbin which Corbin ultimately won.

Elsewhere on tonight’s episode of NXT, a new challenger was revealed for Carmelo Hayes as Trick Williams also clarified his future role with the NXT Champion.
