WWE Name Suggests Surprise Candidate For World Heavyweight Championship WWE

A WWE name has suggested a surprise candidate as a potential challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship.

With current World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins having recently reflected on the WWE roster being “chock full of talent” and needing another top title, Corey Graves has weighed in on a possible challenger.

In the After the Bell podcast, Graves discussed the new championship with Kevin Patrick, saying:

“You know who might have a say, though? Maxxine Dupri. I’m sure Maxxine Dupri could be encouraging Otis to step up to the challenge.

“Otis as World Heavyweight Champion. Could you imagine what Maxxine could do for him?”

Otis has been a fan favorite since his debut in 2016 as one half of Heavy Machinery and is a former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion with his current tag partner Chad Gable.

Graves would continue to give his assessment of Otis, adding:

“Could you imagine the magnetism of Otis with the World Heavyweight Championship draped around his shoulder?

“Perhaps we give him two, maybe we should double it up. Make it a double title for Otis, a man of that size.

“Stranger things have happened, man. Stranger things have happened.”

With Maxxine switching her allegiance from Maximum Male Models to Alpha Academy, recent reports have suggested that Mansoor and Mace may be set for a repackaging.

Dolph Ziggler has recently discussed his WrestleMania match with Otis taking place in front of no fans, describing it has a heartbreaking moment in an otherwise well-loved feud.

Seth Rollins is scheduled to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker at NXT Gold Rush on June 20, 2023.
