WWE Plans For GUNTHER After SummerSlam 2023 Revealed? WWE

Chad Gable has now issued a challenge to GUNTHER for a rematch after SummerSlam, following the duo’s bout on WWE Raw.

On the July 31 show, GUNTHER and Chad Gable faced off in a five minute challenge, in which Gable had to prove that he could last five minutes in the ring with the Ring General.

After the time elapsed with Gable still standing, GUNTHER called for the match to continue.

The duo wrestled a competitive bout before the Intercontinental Champion finally pinned Gable.

In an interview on Raw Talk, Gable stated that he’s going to focus on coaching himself for another match against GUNTHER.

Challenging the Intercontinental Champion to a rematch after SummerSlam, Gable said:

“Does this look like victory to you? (Points to his chest) No. This was a five-star chest, okay, and he turned it into mincemeat in a matter of five minutes.

“Well, Gunther. Get yourself ready. Because on the other side of SummerSlam, Master Gable’s turning the coaching techniques on himself.

“Take care of your business. I’ll be waiting for you, and you’re paying for this chest, this five-star chest, and you’re paying for it with a lot more than five minutes.

“Because I’ll go five hours any day of the week, baby. Get yourself ready.”

At SummerSlam this Saturday (August 5), GUNTHER will defend his Intercontinental Title against Drew McIntyre.

It has been heavily speculated that GUNTHER will break the Honky Tonk Man’s 454 day record to become the longest reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion of all time.

To break this record, GUNTHER will need to hold his title until at least September 7.

Ahead of then, GUNTHER has passed a historic Intercontinental Championship milestone, which you can read more about at this link.
