Former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James has commented on the possibility of her making a return to the company to align with her husband.
While James doesn’t currently work for WWE, her husband Nick Aldis is currently serving as the onscreen General Manager for the SmackDown brand.
Speaking on Ring The Belle, James noted that she’s proud of Aldis, and shared a pitch to become his assistant.
James said:
“(When is Mickie James coming in?) Oh, I don’t know. I’m so proud of him. He’s doing so great. It would be (cool to return).
“I could be his assistant maybe. Yeah, cuz I’m the secretary, so I can just write it in, schedule it (a title match for herself). Well, you never know. You never know. No, I’m so proud of him. He’s doing great. I think he’s killing it.”
Aldis hasn’t wrestled for WWE during his time as SmackDown GM, despite being a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
Nick Aldis recently commented on the possibility of him making an in-ring return, which you can read more about right here.
