Three WWE Stars Praised Backstage After ‘Difficult Situation’

Several WWE stars were praised backstage for their ability to adapt during Tuesday’s (February 13) NXT TV tapings.

As was previously reported, an NXT Women’s Title match being taped for the February 20 episode was stopped after challenger Shotzi appeared to suffer a knee injury.

Per Fightful Select, Shotzi was helped to the back before NXT General Manager Ava came out to announce an open challenge, which was a legitimate change in plans on the fly. Lash Legend then emerged to face NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria.

Fightful reports that several sources in NXT commended Lyra Valkyria, Lash Legend and Ava for being able to adapt to the difficult situation.

It was also reported that WWE was “very concerned” for Shotzi, who was immediately taken for medical evaluation after suffering the injury.
