Update On WWE Pushing SmackDown Star After WrestleMania WWE

A new report has provided an update on WWE pushing a SmackDown star after WrestleMania.

As previously reported, Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio discussed the possibility of LA Knight receiving a push within WWE due to his crowd reactions on recent live events.

Knight faced WrestleMania 39 main eventer Cody Rhodes on the March 13 edition of WWE Raw. Despite suffering a loss to “The American Nightmare”, this seems to be a hint at something more for the SmackDown star.

Wrestlingnews.co has provided an update, noting that people in positions of power in WWE are very happy with LA Knight’s work and they are very happy with the crowd reactions he is getting at live events.

Knight is someone who was under the moniker of “Max Dupri” with the Maximum Male Models stable until Paul “Triple H” Levesque become head of creative and brought back his LA Knight character.

The belief among those Wrestlingnews.co spoke to is that Levesque wants to do more with Knight after WrestleMania.

It hasn’t been confirmed if this mean the former Million Dollar Champion is in line for a world title program, but his bout with Cody Rhodes on Monday’s Raw could perhaps be a sign that the company might look at doing Knight vs. Rhodes later down the line.

The report also notes that those within WWE were very happy with how LA Knight handled the creative presented to him during his feud with Bray Wyatt.

Some felt that the storyline would hurt him, but he ran with everything that was presented to him and that has not gone unnoticed.

A recent Fightful Select report indicated that Knight was also one of the names presented to Stone Cold Steve Austin for a possible program at WrestleMania.

We will have further updates and news in regards to LA Knight’s future when they become available.
