Spoiler On WrestleMania Title Match Plans Ahead Of Royal Rumble WWE

A recent report has revealed that one championship match is still on the schedule for WrestleMania ahead of Saturday’s WWE Royal Rumble.

With both Royal Rumble matches featuring an opportunity at a championship at WrestleMania, the ‘favorite’ to win the women’s match has been revealed.

Writing about plans for the April PLE  in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated:

However, the only match, which has been planned for months and was still on the schedule is Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch for the world women’s title, which makes Lynch a Rumble favorite.

On the January 15, 2024, episode of WWE Raw, Becky Lynch confronted Rhea Ripley in the ring.

Footage from that encounter can be seen in the video below this news story.

Lynch would compare their respective journeys and going from being WrestleMania afterthoughts to main events.

She would also question whether she is as good as Rhea Ripley, admitting that there’s a nagging voice in her head.

Lynch would go on to say she needs to take the WWE Women’s World Championship from Ripley and to do that she needs to win the Royal Rumble.

The 2024 Royal Rumble takes place on January 27, 2024, with WrestleMania 40 following on April 6 & 7.

Between those dates, WWE Elimination Chamber marks the company’s return to Australia on February 24, 2024.
