WWE Hall Of Famer Doubts Sami Zayn’s Bloodline Impact WWE

A WWE Hall of Famer has questioned the impact of Sami Zayn on The Bloodline story currently taking place on television.

Whilst WWE may have booked a rematch between Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns on an upcoming house show and further to reports that WWE have become ‘concerned’ over the popularity of Zayn, Eric Bischoff is critical of the narrative that the success is down to the former Honorary Uce.

Speaking on Strictly Business, Bischoff said:

“The Bloodline storyline has been the top draw.

“I think it’s a reflection of ignorance to pick out one person within that entourage of people that are involved in that story and assign all of that success to one individual.”

Bischoff would go on to acknowledge the fans’ wish to see Zayn be the one to unseat the Tribal Chief, but was looking at the situation from a strictly business perspective.

Reflecting on the Montreal reaction at Elimination Chamber, he said that there was a need to look beyond that crowd, who are “hot” for events and supporting their hometown favorite.

Bischoff would also look at how The Bloodline storyline has created a new interest in Jey Uso.

He noted that, before the faction was create, Jey Uso was one of Rikishi’s sons who had issues with DUI.

It’s with all these elements in mind that Bischoff concludes that one performer can’t be credited with the collective success of the story.
