WWE & Saudi Arabia Partnership Big Update

An update has emerged on WWE’s deal to host shows in Saudi Arabia, ahead of the upcoming King & Queen of the Ring event.

Since April 2018, WWE has been holding multiple premium live events a year in Saudi Arabia. It was reported in November 2019 that WWE had expanded its partnership with the Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority, meaning that WWE would hold two large scale events in the country every year through 2027.

ESPN’s Mike Coppinger recently shared an article featuring comments from Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority.

In this article, Coppinger noted that Alalshikh stated that an “enhancement” to WWE’s existing deal with the Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority will be announced later this month.

It was also noted that Alalshikh is hopeful about bringing Royal Rumble or WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia.

Alalshikh said an enhancement to Saudi Arabia’s existing agreement with WWE will be announced later this month. Specifically, Alalshikh is looking to bring January’s annual Royal Rumble or WWE’s top event, WrestleMania, to Saudi Arabia.

WWE hasn’t officially announced an update to this partnership at the time of writing. WWE will next visit Saudi Arabia for the May 25 King & Queen of the Ring premium live event.

This will be the first WWE show in the territory since Crown Jewel 2023 last November.

This event was headlined by an Undisputed WWE Universal Title match, with Roman Reigns defeating LA Knight to retain his gold.
