Seth Rollins Addresses Becky Lynch’s NXT Championship Win WWE

Seth Rollins has commented on Becky Lynch becoming WWE NXT Women’s Champion following her defeat of Tiffany Stratton.

The match took place on the September 12 episode of WWE NXT with a reported 927,000 viewers tuning in for the start of the match, with 1.061 million viewers watching as it came to an end.

On the recent episode of WWE’s The Bump, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins reflected on his wife’s win, saying:

“What a great match! Say what you want about Tiffany Stratton — she brought it, man. She brought the fight, she was an honorable champion in that match.

“They went toe-to-toe [and] the better woman won. That’s just how it is.

“It’s nice … it’s been a minute since we both held titles in the house. So, it feels good to be a championship family one more time!”

With the championship now in the main roster star’s hands, Rollins would go on to say:

“I’m excited to see what those match-ups look like and how long she [Lynch] is going to run with this thing.

“She’s got the edge on almost everybody down there, so it’s going be a party. I’m excited to see what The Man brings to NXT.”

Although Lynch appeared on WWE NXT following her signing in 2013, this is the first time she has held the brand’s Women’s Championship.

Her victory over Stratton for the title made her the sixth Women’s Grand Slam Champion in WWE history.

In a post-match promo, Lynch stated that she wants to stay in NXT and be a fighting champion.

Former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Bayley wasted little time in throwing shade at Lynch, pointing out it “took her long enough”on Twitter.
