A big free agent who is expected to be signing with WWE has announced their departure from their current promotion.
It was reported several months ago that WWE had interest in signing former World of Stardom Champion Giulia, with her contract set to expire at the end of this month.
Since then, Stardom owner and founder Rossy Ogawa was fired from the company by Bushiroad, and has announced his plans to launch a new promotion, likely set to feature other current Stardom stars.
The most recent report noted that Giulia was set to leave Stardom at the end of the month, before starting with Rossy Ogawa’s new promotion, helping to get it off the ground, before officially joining WWE later in the year.
Taking to Twitter yesterday, Giulia officially announced her free agency, and that she will only have a few more days left in Stardom.
She wrote (translated):
It has finally been officially released. I’m sorry for getting ahead of myself and confusing everyone. There are only a few days left in Stardom, but pro wrestler Julia is still going strong! stay tuned!
やっと公式リリースされました。私の話だけ先行してしまって、みんなを混乱させてしまってごめん。スターダムでの残り期間はもう後わずかだけど、プロレスラー・ジュリアはまだまだ続く!
乞う、ご期待!
