With WWE on their European tour, Friday Night Smackdown was taped in Manchester, England. The show was broadcast later on that night on FOX.
With spoilers for the show being available prior to the show starting on FOX, many expected Smackdown to see a decrease in viewership compared to last week.
However, WWE will be rather pleased to hear that according to ShowBuzz Daily, Smackdown brought in 2.617 million viewers for last night’s show which featured a Smackdown Tag Team Championship match and appearance from Tyson Fury.
Last week’s show brought in 2.520 million viewers, so viewership increased by 97,000 compared to last week.
Despite the ratings not being as high as many people expected when Smackdown moved to FOX, the show still outdrew Raw.
Monday’s show brought in 2.34 million viewers, nearly 300,000 less than this week’s Smackdown.
