WWE Star Set For First Ever Singles Championship Match? WWE

A WWE star could soon be taking part in his first singles championship match after being with the company for nearly six years.

Tonight’s November 6 episode of WWE Raw will play host to a four-way match to determine the next challenger for Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship.

The four participants will be Ricochet, The Miz, Bronson Reed and Ivar.

The first three of those names have all held singles gold in WWE (including NXT in Reed’s case), but Ivar has never even had the chance to.

If he wins this match and goes on to challenge Gunther, it’ll be the first singles championship match of his WWE career.

Ivar has of course primarily been a tag team wrestler, but with his Viking Raiders partner Erik out injured, Ivar’s had a few singles matches of late.

And there are a couple of signs that point towards him having a chance of winning – notably that WWE personnel have been impressed with those aforementioned singles outings.

He’s also never had a match with Gunther before, which probably makes him a more likely winner than Ricochet or Reed, who have.

However, the favorite has to be The Miz considering the time that was put into building tension between he and Gunther on Raw last week.

Gunther vs Miz has pretty much already been set up, and could easily main event an episode of Raw or even be part of the card for Survivor Series in less than three weeks.

We will of course keep you posted with all the news regarding tonight’s episode of Raw.
