A WWE star took part in their first match in seven months at last night’s WWE NXT tapings,
WWE star Ikemen Jiro had not been in action since the December 14 episode of NXT, where he was defeated by SCRYPTS.
Jiro had been out of action since that show, with no reason given for his absence.
Jiro returned to in-ring action at last night’s NXT tapings, when he teamed with Quincy Elliott in a losing effort to Hank Walker and Tank Ledger in a match taped for NXT Level Up.
The episode featuring Jiro’s return will air this Friday (July 21) on the WWE Network and Peacock.
This week’s episode of NXT Level Up will also feature the in-ring debut of Izzi Dame, the new ring name for Performance Center prospect Franki Strefling, taking on Dani Palmer.
The other match taped for the show saw Dante Chen taking on Javier Bernal.
Last night’s NXT saw Dominik Mysterio finally become a singles champion in WWE, when he defeated Wes Lee to become North American Champion.
