A current WWE Raw star spoke about Lana in a recent interview, calling her “one of the greatest, untapped female talents in WWE”.
On previous episodes of Raw, a partnership between Lana and Natalya was teased, but this has seemed to be on hold a little bit as they’ve both been off TV for COVID-19 reasons.
Speaking in a recent interview with Alicia Atout, Natalya complimented Lana’s work, saying:
“And I feel like people don’t understand how good Lana actually is, especially in the ring. You’ve only seen a little bit of what she can do because she’s been a manager for so long. I truly think that once Lana gets her sea legs and people can actually see her compete in the ring, I actually feel like we’re gonna be tag team champions. I feel like we can take on Sasha [Banks] and Bayley for the Women’s Tag Team Championships and I think Lana is, and I’m gonna stand by this. I think she’s one of the greatest, untapped female talents in WWE that you haven’t even seen that in-ring side of her.”
The last time Lana was actually in a match was back in February when she lost to Liv Morgan. She’s only won one singles match in her WWE career which was against Billie Kay in May 2018.
I’m not breaking any news by writing that many fans have been critical of Lana’s in-ring ability previously, but if anyone knows what they’re talking about when it comes to in-ring talent, it’s Natalya. Having said that, something tells us it’s all part of the act to build towards a potential future partnership on WWE TV.
