WWE Star Defends Youngest General Manager Ever Against ‘Miserable’ Criticism WWE

Ava is the youngest General Manager in company history, with a WWE star stepping to her defence on social media.

The announcement was made on the January 23, 2024, episode of WWE NXT which also marked William Regal’s return to screens, as can be seen below this news story.

The new NXT General Manager promised a new era for the brand, although some have chosen to criticize the daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Brooks Jensen responding to a tweet critical of Ava that stated “apparently charisma isn’t hereditary” with a message that read:

“Imagine being so unhappy in your life that you get off attacking a 22 year old. Apparently, you’re miserable.”

Ava responded to Jensen’s support with a short tweet of her own, replying:

“Thanks buddy :’)”

Jensen’s message of support saw a flurry of responses falling on both sides of the argument.

One fan pointed out that The Rock “struggled in his first few years” and that fans should “give her time to develop – it’s developmental.”

Ava joined WWE in February 2020 and made her first on-screen NXT appearance in October 2022 as part of Schism.

By October 2023, Schism had disbanded with Ava going on to be an on-screen assistant to Shawn Michaels.

She is a fourth-generation wrestling talent and a member of the Anoa’i family.

Jensen is a former NXT UK Tag Team Champion and is a second-generation wrestler, with his father being Bull Buchanan.

Formerly paired with Josh Briggs, the pair split up on the December 27, 2023, episode of WWE NXT.
