WWE Star’s Victory Ends 17-Year Streak At Night Of Champions 2023 WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus ended an almost 17 year streak with her victory at Night of Champions 2023.

During the show, Stratus faced off against Becky Lynch in the second match of the night. Following interference from rising star Zoey Stark, Stratus pinned Lynch during her singles return.

It has now been pointed out that this was Stratus’ first singles victory since defeating Lita at Unforgiven 2006.

Stratus has wrestled two one-on-one matches since 2006, losing to Vickie Guerrero on Raw in 2011, and coming up short against Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2019.

Prior to Night of Champions, Stratus’ most recent victory came in tag action, when she, Lynch and Lita defeated Bayley, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 39.

Three women’s division matches took place at Night of Champions, with both the Raw and SmackDown women’s titles on the line.

While Rhea Ripley defended her gold against Natalya in dominant fashion, Asuka ultimately bested Bianca Belair to win the Raw Women’s Championship, ending the EST’s lengthy reign.
