WWE US Championship REMATCH Set For SmackDown Live

Last night’s Extreme Rules saw many shocking results, one of them was Shinsuke Nakamura beating Jeff Hardy in five seconds to become WWE United States Champion. ‘The King of Strong Style’ used his now trademark low blow to get a pre-match advantage before securing the win with a Kinshasa.

Due to the controversial nature of the match, SmackDown Live GM Paige has confirmed that Hardy will be getting his rematch on this Tuesday’s edition of the blue brand.

Although it would be great to see a competitive match between the two, don’t bank on this happening this week as there are multiple factors that indicate further controversy. Given his success last night, Nakamura could very well use his heelish tactics again prior to the match or hurt Jeff Hardy so bad that he simply can’t compete.

Another factor is the inclusion of Randy Orton in this feud, as he too provided further pain to ‘The Charismatic Enigma’s nether regions after Nakamura’s victory. It is likely that Orton will be present for the match and could play a part in the finish.

Despite the rematch being confirmed for SmackDown Live, don’t expect the rivalry between Hardy and Nakamura to end there as the addition of a newly heel ‘Viper’ will more than likely see a Triple Threat at Summerslam.
