The Usos Address Jimmy Uso 2021 DUI Arrest WWE

WWE stars The Usos have now addressed Jimmy Uso’s previous DUI arrest, and how they thought it’d affect their careers.

Jimmy Uso (real name Jonathan Fatu) was arrested for DUI in July 2021. Later that month, he and Jey Uso won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at Money in the Bank 2021, marking the beginning of their historic tag title reign.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani for BT Sport, Jimmy Uso stated that he faced the noise following his arrest. Jey Uso added that his family always stands together, which is what they did following that incident.

When asked if they were worried that Jimmy’s DUI arrest would affect their careers, The Usos said:

Jimmy: “No, I wasn’t. When we show up to work, we’re there. Everybody has their issues outside of work. Everybody is human and makes mistakes as they go through it.

“As long as you face the noise, that’s something we always did. Even if we get in trouble, aired out, we always stood right in front of our mess, right in front of our noise, pushed through it, learned from it, and then keep it moving. That’s always been our way.”

Jey: “Made em say, ‘Oh, this is why we keep them,’ every time we stepped out. Whatever happened, the next night we go out there and let them know, ‘no matter what happens, this is why we keep the Usos.’

“Like my brother said, we face the noise. Always stand together.

“It’s real hard because everyone has something to say. You walk these shoes. You can’t.

“It takes special people to do what we do. Y’all sit back and enjoy the show like the rest of the people.”

The Usos will face off against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa at Saturday’s WWE Money in the Bank 2023 show in a match billed as the Bloodline Civil War.

Backstage news recently emerged on the matches that could open and headline the premium live event.
